Sports & ankle injuries

Individual foot and ankle care for active adults, children, and teens in Issaquah. Get help returning to the activities you enjoy.

Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a competitive athlete, a sports injury can keep you from the activities you enjoy. At Lake Sammamish Foot & Ankle, we treat foot and ankle injuries in patients of all ages, from young athletes to active adults.

Dr. Richardson combines modern technology with more than 20 years of podiatric experience. She assesses each patient’s foot structure, symptoms, and activity needs to develop an individual treatment plan and discuss ways to reduce the risk of future injury.

Dr. Richardson has firsthand experience with injuries, surgery, and recovery. These experiences give her a personal understanding of the physical and emotional effects an injury can have on everyday life.

Why children and adults may need different care

Children’s bones are still developing, so growth-related conditions such as Sever’s disease require age-appropriate evaluation. Adults may experience tendon problems and overuse injuries. Treatment is tailored to the patient’s age, condition, and activity goals.

Contact the clinic to request an evaluation of persistent foot or ankle pain.
